Adoption Scheme
YOU HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT GETTING A DOG OR A CAT? BUT WORRIED ABOUT THE MEDICAL COSTS?...
WE WILL HELP YOU:
WHY A RESCUE ANIMAL?
BENEFITS OF ADOPTING
- Research tells us that companion animals, such as cats and dogs, can help improve our physical and mental health. By adopting and spending time with an animal friend, you can experience the benefits of lowered stress levels and blood pressure.
- Cats and dogs provide friendship for lonely individuals, and open opportunities for interacting with others which an older person may miss if family is far away.
- The company of a beloved pet has been proven to reduce depression.
- The quiet and doting home of a senior citizen is the perfect match for an older animal looking for a new home.
- Senior animals are often gentler, calmer companionship, and often are already trained.

TAT-TARGA KENNELS OFFER!
DOG ADOPTIONS
We have made agreements with Noah's Ark, A.A.A, Island Sanctuary and The Gozo SPCA that, if you officially adopt a dog, which needs to be 2 years or older, the medical advice, treatment and medicine, needed by this dog during its lifetime, will be at cost price in our Happy Paws clinic. NOTE: BEFORE adoption the dog will have to be neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. All adopted dogs presented at our clinic will have to be accompanied by the respective adoption papers. We hope that with this initiative more people will consider giving a stray dog a safe and loving home.
CAT ADOPTIONS
Under auspices of our local Cat Lover and artist Zoë Chomarat, who has designed the logo and the title under which this scheme was launched, we are very happy with the Zoë Cat Adoption Program. All cats/kittens adopted from CSAF will benefit from the same priviliges as the dogs in our adoption scheme. i.e. medical advice and treatment needed by the adopted cat during its lifetime, will be at cost price in our Happy Paws clinic. NOTE: BEFORE adoption the cat will have to be neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. All adopted cats presented at our clinic will have to be accompanied by the respective adoption papers. All cats in CSAF have been blood-tested and found negative for all contagious diseases.
